If jamaica is heaven on earth, negril is the place where everything is possible. thousands of tourists come to this location on the west coast of jamaica looking for sun, sex and parties. and this is what they find! beautiful beaches, nice people and crazy parties.

20 years ago, negril was a small fishing village. nowadays negril is jamaica's main tourist destination. with its 7 mile beach, its amazing sun sets, the cliffs on the west end, its many restaurants and hotels... negril is the perfect place to spend your beach vacations.

To get to negril you can fly to montego bay's airport, and take a taxi from there; or fly to kingston airport, and take a light aircraft to negril's aerodrome. a taxi from montego bay is cheaper, and in my opinion more convenient. the ride takes two hours.

If you are an independent traveler you can take one of the collective taxis from montego bay's bus station. if you share one of these taxis with locals, you will save a lot of money. you may need to change taxis in lucea.

The climate in jamaica is almost perfect. in winter temperatures range between 68 f (20 c) and 86 f (30 c). in summer, temperatures are somewhat higher, between 77 f (25 c) and 90 f (32 c). rains are more common in fall, but even during the rainy season the sun shines almost everyday. if you get to negril and see a big cloud, do not worry, most of the times the sun comes back in a few minutes. when it is cloudy, the temperature is high enough to lie on the beach. the sun is so strong in the caribbean that a cloud can be considered a blessing.
